Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 20 July 2026

1. About these terms

These terms govern your use of this website and set out the general terms on which WeGrow Accountants ("we", "us", "our") provides services. WeGrow Accountants is a CPA practice and registered tax agent (TPB registration #26310751), ABN 36 665 355 457, with offices in Woolloongabba, QLD and Broadmeadows, VIC.

By using this website, you agree to these terms. If we are engaged to provide tax, accounting, bookkeeping, or advisory services to you, that engagement is governed by a separate signed engagement letter, which sets out the specific scope, fees, and terms for that work. If anything in these general terms conflicts with your engagement letter, the engagement letter prevails for that engagement.

Unless expressly agreed otherwise in your engagement letter, our services are limited to tax, accounting, bookkeeping, and advisory services, and do not include audit, assurance, or review engagements.

Liability limited by a scheme approved under Professional Standards Legislation.

2. No advice — general information only

Content on this website — including articles, guides, price lists, and calculators — is general information only. It does not take into account your personal circumstances and is not personal tax, financial, or legal advice. You should not act or rely on anything on this site without first obtaining advice specific to your situation.

3. Accuracy of website content

We make reasonable efforts to keep this website current and accurate, but Australian tax law, superannuation rules, and accounting standards change frequently — sometimes with little notice. We do not warrant that content on this site is current, complete, or correct for your specific circumstances, and we are not liable for any loss arising from reliance on outdated or general content in place of personalised advice.

4. Pricing

Prices published on this site are inclusive of GST and are indicative, based on a standard scope of work. Your actual fees are confirmed in your engagement letter or quote, and may differ based on complexity, the state of your records, or additional work required.

5. Confidentiality

We treat client information confidentially in accordance with the Tax Agent Services Act 2009, the Tax Practitioners Board's Code of Professional Conduct, and our Privacy Policy. See our Privacy Policy for the full detail on how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your information, including personal information and tax file numbers.

6. Your information, and relying on what you give us

Unless we agree otherwise in writing, you are responsible for the accuracy and completeness of the information, records, and documents you give us. We generally rely on that information as provided, without independently auditing or verifying it, when preparing returns, statements, or advice.

If you become aware that information you have given us is incomplete, inaccurate, or has changed, you need to tell us promptly — this can materially affect the accuracy of the work we have done or are doing for you.

Australia's tax system operates on self-assessment, which means you have your own obligation to keep full and proper records to support the accuracy of your returns. You should retain that paperwork for at least five years from the date of the relevant assessment, as the ATO may review your affairs at any time within that period.

7. Identity verification and AML/CTF obligations

For certain services — particularly company and trust formation and structuring — we are required under the Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorism Financing Act 2006 to verify your identity before we can act. If you do not provide the identity documents or information we reasonably request, we may not be able to commence or continue providing that service. See our Privacy Policy for how we collect, use, and retain that information.

8. Intellectual property

This website. Unless otherwise noted, we own or license all content on this website (text, graphics, logos, and design), and you may view and print it for personal, non-commercial reference only. You cannot reproduce, republish, or distribute it without our written permission.

Work we prepare for you. Reports, returns, advice, and other materials we prepare for you as part of an engagement are provided for your use for the purpose of that engagement. Our working papers, methodologies, and templates remain our property, and being given a report or return does not transfer ownership of the underlying work product to you.

9. Fees and payment

Unless your engagement letter says otherwise, invoices are payable within 7 days of the invoice date. If you need more time to pay, please contact our team before the due date so we can agree a suitable arrangement.

Business Accounting Contracts. Where you engage us on a fixed monthly fee basis for business accounting services ("Business Accounting Contract"), your monthly invoice must be paid by direct debit. We will ask you to set up a direct debit authority when your first invoice is issued, and your monthly fee will then be debited on the 1st day of each month for the duration of the engagement.

If payment is not received on time and no arrangement has been agreed, we may charge interest on overdue amounts as set out in your engagement letter, suspend further work until payment is received, claim a particular (specific) lien over your documents in accordance with TPB(GS) 07/2011 — Claiming a lien over client property, or engage a third party to recover the debt, with any reasonable recovery costs added to what you owe.

10. Electronic communications

We may communicate with you by email, phone, or through third-party platforms (such as our booking system or cloud accounting software). Electronic communications are not fully secure, and you accept that risk when you choose to communicate with us that way. If something you send us is genuinely time- or security-sensitive, let us know so we can agree a more appropriate channel.

11. Third-party providers and tools

We use trusted third-party providers to help deliver our services — for example, cloud accounting, document capture, client onboarding, and booking platforms. These are listed in our Privacy Policy. We choose these providers carefully, but we are not liable for outages, errors, or data issues caused solely by a third-party platform outside our control.

12. Working with us — a few ground rules

To help us do good work for you, please: respond to our requests for information in a timely way; tell us about anything that might affect the accuracy or timing of our work; and consult with us before engaging another adviser on a matter we are already handling for you, so we can coordinate properly.

13. Reliance on advice

Draft reports, draft returns, and verbal or informal advice should not be relied on — only finalised, written advice and lodged returns represent our considered position. If written advice and something said in conversation ever conflict, the written advice applies.

14. Liability

Nothing in these terms limits our obligations under the Tax Agent Services Act 2009, the TPB's Code of Professional Conduct, or APES 110. Subject to that, and to the extent permitted by law:

  • our liability for any loss or damage arising from your use of this website, or from general information provided on it, is excluded to the fullest extent permitted by law;
  • for services provided under a specific engagement, our liability is governed by the terms of your engagement letter and, where applicable, capped in accordance with the scheme referred to below; and
  • nothing here excludes any guarantee, right, or remedy under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Liability limited by a scheme approved under Professional Standards Legislation.

15. Information about us

The Tax Practitioners Board maintains a public register of registered tax agents, which you can check at any time — including our registration status and any conditions on it — at our TPB public register listing. The TPB also publishes an "Information for Clients" fact sheet explaining what you are entitled to know about your tax agent.

As a registered tax agent, we are required to proactively tell you about any matter that could significantly influence your decision to engage us — for example, conditions on our registration, relevant TPB sanctions in the past five years, or matters affecting our ability to provide services. As at the date of this policy, there are no such matters we are required to disclose.

We maintain professional indemnity insurance with a sum insured of $2 million, consistent with CPA Australia's Public Practice Certificate requirements.

16. Conflicts of interest

We maintain procedures to identify and manage conflicts of interest between clients. If a genuine conflict arises that we cannot manage appropriately, we will tell you and, if necessary, decline or cease acting for one or more affected clients.

17. Delays outside our control

We are not liable for delays or failures in providing services caused by circumstances reasonably outside our control — including ATO or government system outages, third-party platform failures, natural disasters, or other events of that nature. In such situations, we will work with you and liaise with the relevant government agencies to minimise any adverse impact to you.

18. Ending an engagement

You can end an engagement with us at any time by giving reasonable written notice. We may also end an engagement by written notice — for example, if we are no longer able to act, if a conflict of interest arises, or if fees remain unpaid. Ending an engagement does not affect your obligation to pay for work already completed, or any rights or obligations that already applied before it ended.

Business Accounting Contracts. To end a monthly Business Accounting Contract, you must give us written notice. Your engagement will continue, and a full month's fee will apply, for the entire calendar month following the month in which we receive your notice. Over the course of a Business Accounting Contract, we sometimes carry out additional work that is not separately charged, on the basis that its cost is recovered across the full year of the engagement rather than billed month to month. If your engagement ends early, we may charge you for that additional work at that point, to the extent it has not already been recovered through fees paid.

19. Complaints and disputes

If you are unhappy with our service, please contact us first — most concerns can be resolved directly and quickly. Use the call or email buttons below, or write to us at the postal address in section 22.

If we cannot resolve it between us, complaints about our conduct as a registered tax agent can be made to the Tax Practitioners Board. Complaints specifically about how we have handled personal information are covered separately in our Privacy Policy, including how to escalate to the OAIC.

20. Governing law

These terms, and your use of this website, are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia. Any dispute is subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Queensland.

21. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The current version is always available on this page, with the "last updated" date at the top. Continued use of this website after an update means you accept the revised terms.
